My sister Melanie came into town from New Mexico. The reason for her visit was not really good news as her good friend Natalie passed away. Natalie had been rather sick for many years and had mentioned about two years ago that she did not expect to last much longer. The funeral was on Wednesday earlier this past week.

While I never really knew Natalie, many years ago when my grandmother was very old, Natlie was hired by my parents to help care for her. Also, Natalie has been the one true friend to Melanie for many years.

We spent last sunday at my parents house visiting with them and Melanie.

Yesterday, we visited Brent’s family with Melanie. We went to the beach in San Clemente for about a half an hour prior to going to Brent’s home. At night, we attended a band performance that Rachel was in. The performance was actually very good.
