Desiree got her blue belt. Larry Litvinoff got his black belt today. Larry was 61 years old, completing a goal he set almost 15 years ago but could not complete living in Mexico with no Tai Kwon Do master available for him to pass things off.

Larry is just an great person. About as helpful and sweet a man as you can find. He returned to the US to help his ailing mother in her old age. He made his living as a sea captain of fishing boats in Cabo.

Yesterday, Desiree, Luke and I took Grandpa out for dinner for his birthday. We went to SoupPlantation. Afterwards, I shot another tire chains movie and captured and uploaded it from his house. His computer lets me do it. I cannot do it on mine. He is doing well. My mom is visiting Melanie who just had surgery. She will be back in a couple of days. Val and I plan to visit Melanie over Labor Day weekend taking Desiree and Luke along with us.

I am about to embark on a new journey. My plan is to move to Arizona in another two months. The intention is to home school Desiree part time while keeping her in her current school near her Mom’s home. This will not be easy as it will require a sacrifice on my work schedule. I believe this is the right thing to do due to her struggles in school. This may be the ticket to getting her on track to making it through high school. It also gets me closer to Valerie. I would also do the same with Luke so as to not separate the two kids. I still have the details and logistics to work out with the school and other parties involved. I have also found a Tai Kwon Do school for her to attend which will cost less than half what I am currently paying. Through my prayers, I firmly believe this is the right thing to do. I do have fears of the finances as this would require me to leave my current employment. Time will tell. I picked up Desiree’s History and Algebra textbooks for next school year purchasing them through Amazon. We will get working on them next week.

I am still planning to do what I was planning to do six months ago, namely go to China around March or so next year to teach English for 6 months or so. I have not been working so much on my TESOL certificate lately but will get back to it when the time is right. This is another thing that I feel strongly I must do.

Things actually are very exciting for me now. Luke is progressing in Cub Scouts. Desiree is progressing in her personal progress. Many aspect of life just seem correct and good right now. I am also doing a lot more scripture reading now reading in the Doctrine and Covenants. Also made it to the temple this week and plan to go again next week. I am averaging visits to the temple every other week. I would like to attend every week, but it is difficult as that means less time with the kids, so I will continue to mostly attend when they are at thier Moms.

I went back to the 1000 Steps Beach also known as 9th Street Beach on Friday night to check out the sea caves. I rode my bike there and carried my water resistant backpack with camera and all to see if I could get into the sea cave. The conditions were perfect as the tide was low. My understanding is that it is to dangerous to go into when the tide is not low. I did get completely soaked on my way out due to not timing the waves well and thinking I would have to travel out by water where the rocks may have been too steep to climb. What a fun excursion.

Make You Feel My Love

On Wednesday, 22 June, I picked up the kids after work about 5:30 and took Desiree to Tai Kwon Do which started at 7:00. Sylvia suggested the kids stay with me on my Birthday. I was greeted by the kids which a slew of birthday gifts. So the kids spent the night. I played Battleship with Luke, but it did not go over well as he tried to position his ships diagonally – which does not work. He was really mad when I told Valerie over the phone what he had done. So I apologized to him. Poor kid, so sensitive.

On Thursday, Desiree spent the day at my house while I was at work. School is now out for her. Luke had one more day of school. I picked him up from school at 11:50 and took him to my house as well. I took them to thier Mom’s at about 7:00 pm which is when she normally gets home. She took the kids to Denny’s after I took them home.

They spent the entire day at thier Mom’s on Friday and are expected to be there through tonight at 8:00 pm.

Well, I am working on my tire chain site right now – the site for the government sales. Much to be done on that site.

I am trying to exercise more. This week was very inconsistent. I only ran twice and did sit ups / push ups on three separate days.
